Our staff & volunteers
Lifting Spirits New Hearts is a community feed program in West Point, MS. We feed the community each Tuesday at Third Mt. Olive Baptist Church. We also provide meals to the elderly and disabled. Our staff, including Executive Director Alma Brown, is strictly voluntary. We just want to do God's will (Matthew 25:31)
Our history
Alma Brown has always had a passion for serving others. As a longtime business owner in West Point, she served others by providing affordable, fashionable clothing for women of all ages and sizes. But she wanted to do more in the community. In 2003, she began feeding the community on Thanksgiving Day. From that service, Lifting Spirits New Hearts was born. Alma now feeds the community, senior citizens and the disabled.
Our mission
Lifting Spirits New Hearts provides hot. nutritional meals to seniors citizens and the disabled in West Point, Clay County, Mississippi. Additionally, we provide community feedings and a special Thanksgiving Day meal to any community resident. Come join us!
